First stop, back home to drop off Chase and the dogs with Grandma and Grandpa. Then off to Wisconsin Dells for a day/evening of Waterpark fun at The Wilderness - just Mom, Dad and Lance! It was pretty tough getting Lance to cave in to get dry clothes on for dinner and then again at the end of the night to head back to the hotel room! He is already asking to go back to the Waterpark...... Here he is just splashing around.
This was Lance's favorite waterslide and I stopped counting, but I think he must have went down it almost 50 times.....
Watch out Lance, Dad is right behind you!
Lance playing with the waterguns.
The lifeguard helping Lance after going down the REALLY big slide. You can see how high up it is in the upper right corner of the picture.... No fear - he was loving it all. Although he wasn't too sure about the dark raft slide with Mom and Dad. Once was enough for that one! And a little basketball with Dad.
Lance also thought it was super cool to get to ride the shuttle bus... this was our way of getting him to leave one water park and move on to the next! He was so cute and very friendly with the bus drivers. Thanking each of them as we got off.
A quick stop at the candy store (that was conveniently right on the way back to our hotel room!) and then off to bed after a VERY busy day.... This was Lance's first overnight stay in a hotel bed! And of course Saturday morning cartoons.
The next day we were up bright and early to head to Madison for the March of Dimes Walk for Babies, in honor of our dear friends baby Eleanor Renee- who will forever hold a very special place in our hearts. This was the main reason for our trip up North. It was only a 2 mile walk, but the longest 2 mile walk for a 2 and a half year old (and Mom and Dad who thought we didn't need a stroller or wagon!)
But we all made it! Lance just loves his buddy Jeff....
And we finally made it to the park we kept telling Lance we were going to after we finished walking. Lance wanted to push, but nothing to do with riding the tire swing.
We had an extra day to spend back in the QC with our friends....
and at Grandma and Grandpa's house where Lance wanted to help Grandpa fix the fan! Then back on the road, more fun driving (or riding) We threw in a wrapping paper roll last minute, which provided almost 45 minutes of tunnel fun for Lance and I to pass his trucks back and forth! Genius idea I must say! We;ll be staying home for a little while before any more log road trips!!!
