CHASE - 8 months old

Well, it's that time of the month again, another month older and more updates on so many changes! This 8 month age is truly so innocent and so much fun..... We say it over and over again, but truly feel so lucky and blessed to have 2 beautiful boys with very happy, easy going little temperments (Chase more so than almost 3 year old Lance right now - LOL!) Chase grins and laughs SO easily. His little chunkies are irresistable too! On to the update.
At 8 months YOU:
  • Are on an antibiotic for your 3rd ear infection ( I think it is still the 2nd one that never went away though) Only one infection behind brother at this age, so hopefully it doesn't continue down the same path, or we might have to consider tubes.
  • Refuse to drink your night time bottle. Doesn't matter when the last bottle of the day was. You like your bedtime routine (without the bottle) and are just ready to settle into your crib. We read a couple of books, lay you in the crib and you are OUT like a light within a few minutes of rolling around! However, because you won't take that last bottle, you usually awake around 10-11 - hungry. You won't go back to sleep unless we feed you, we've tried. Then you sleep until around 6:30. Not terrible, but we need to work out this schedule. When you wake in the morning, you just roll around talking and humming, waiting for Mom and Lance to come in and greet you. As soon as you see or hear Lance, you get the biggest GRIN.
  • Sleep on your tummy with your little bottom UP in the air, which means you usually leak out of your diaper and Mom has to change the sheets daily (which I guess isn't a big deal, because brother Lance hasn't figured out the dry bed at night thing every night either, so his sheets have to be washed too!) I keep chanting " this will all be over soon, this is only temporary...."
  • Get up on all fours and rock back and forth and back and forth. You REACH and REACH for toys and end up rolling to get to where you want to be, but you're figuring it out. Won't be long before you are chasing your brother and the dogs around (wiping tears now - this is going by way too fast!) You are also trying to pull yourself up. This started in the tub in your little bath seat.
  • Love to drink (or chew) on your sippy cup or Lance's cup. You seem to want everything brother Lance has (imagine that!)
  • Really aren't a big eater. You skip bottles and sometimes want to eat food, but other times just keep that mouth closed and shake your head "NO" back and forth at me, which is frustrating, but honestly THE CUTEST thing ever. And you know it because you smile right back at me!
  • Have figured out all sorts of different sounds. Grunting, Growling, high pitched screams, mama (my favorite!), dada (which you say most of the time) and baba of course.
  • Take great naps at home (2, sometimes 3) but nap terrible at school. You sleep anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 and a half hours at home. School average is usually 30 minutes. Longest nap is probably 50 minutes. Guess there is just too much excitement going on!
And now, onto the pictures. Mom took a stab at these herself this month. (Still trying to work out all the right settings with differently lit backgrounds.... I'll get it as good as Jerry someday!)

MOM - I AM SOOOO DONE - GET ME OUT!!!!!
 Yep, I'm pretty cute!
Trying to get him with the monkey becomes more and more challenging with each growing month...
Oh, my little monkey, squirming right out over the side....
 Got one.
Tried a little something different, sitting with his monkey.
 Sweet blue eyes!
