Almost 2 weeks ago we took Cooper to a specialist for an ultrasound, after having no luck at the vet. It has been almost 2 months of several trips to the vet, tests, medicine, and a different diet and nothing working. Unfortunately the ultrasound revealed to us that Cooper has Prostate Cancer. A very aggressive cancer in dogs!!!!! Cooper is 8 and a half and will most likely never reach 9 years. We have him on a chemotherapy type of medicine that seems to be helping him for now. He is still pretty energetic and you would almost know nothing is wrong with him. he always has a toy in mouth when we walk in the door and wants to be by our side 24/7.
Here is Chase and Cooper chilling in the morning.
And here is some family time in the morning. Folding laundry, iPad, and just hanging out. All 6 of us!!!!
I took a day off from work after we found out about Cooper, just to spend a day with him. Not knowing how long we will have with our first "baby"'. The weather was amazing and he went everywhere with me. We made a special trip for some new toys, treats and to the dog park of course!
We are just going to enjoy every minute and day we have with him and hope that he continues to be is very little pain and discomfort for these last couple of months we have.
