Lance watched his 1st parade today... I was a bit more excited for him, remembering parades from childhood, and this parade was named the largest parade in Kansas. There were lots of marching bands, firetrucks, police cars, a few floats, but Lance was MOST excited to see the one school bus in the parade! He kept asking if there were more school buses. I think we could have taken him to a parking lot with school buses and he would have been more excited.
Later in the evening we took a trip back to the city carnival to ride some rides. Here is Lance and Dad on 1 of 3 carousel rides. Lance waving to me each time he went by! He also picked out a zebra and rooster to ride on.
Lance wasn't quite tall enough for most of the rides. There were a few that they did let him on, including the below where he got to ride a helicopter and a spaceship! He was THRILLED!!!! I couldn't get him to look at me during this entire ride. He was so excited to be driving and was interacting with his co-pilot.
Another fun ride was the construction site dump trucks. Dad got to ride this one with Lance. Not sure if Lance or Dad had more fun on this one. LOL.
And to top it all off, what is a visit to a carnival without a funnel cake and kettle korn! Lance was more than happy to partake in this as well!
