Little Peanut Update!

Well, we had our first sonogram today, at 11 weeks. Everything is looking normal and good! We got to see the little 2 inch peanut (yes, just one peanut, sorry Keegan) move all around inside me - the little hands and feet and watched the heart beat at 158.......... Peanut was sure moving and squirming an awful lot already. Keegan thought that it looked like it was waving at us at one point in time :-) Pretty cool and amazing to see.

I got just a couple of print out pictures (they ran out of paper during my session- go figure) and will try to scan them in and post them, but not sure how that will go. Only one of them is clear enough to see the profile of the face and the little body.

We also got to actually hear the heart beat, which was pretty amazing too. Makes it all seem a little more real. I was down 6 pounds from my first visit - but the Dr. didn't seem too concerned at this point in time. They also retested my blood to check the white blood cell count but the Dr. seemed to think that was elevated due to dehydration. We'll get those results back next week.

Other than that, all is the same. We even went to the grocery store after our appointment today, where I had to walk out to the car to dry heave in the parking lot because the smells or something in the grocery store made me sick!!!!! Hopefully that part will all be over soon enough. 4 more weeks until the next appointment, but they won't do another sonogram until close to 20 weeks.

Peaceful "peanut" dreams for the Dodson's tonight!
