Sunday, November 2nd - After being away from the house and dogs on Saturday, we stayed home most of the day relaxing and picking up the house. Before it got dark we packed up the dogs and headed to the dog park. We went to the dog park that has a lake since Daisy had never experienced the water with us and Cooper before. She did so well staying right by Keegan's side and wasn't all too intersted in the "hundreds" of dogs that were at the dog park.... it was packed! When we got down to the water, Cooper once again seemed to be a bit frightened and wouldn't go out further than he could touch. As soon as Daisy hit the water she layed right down, in the water. We couldn't stop laughing..... Although Cooper barked at the toys/sticks that were being thrown into the water and seemed to want to play, he wouldn't go out after them. He waited on shore for the other dogs to bring the toys back!
Tuesday, November 4th - Election Day - Since Keegan and I got out and voted early, this day did not involve standing in line at the election office. I had a dinner date with my old boss after work, and ended up being gone until 10:30 chatting and catching up. Keegan was on his own for the evening with the dogs.
Wednesday, November 5th - After work I had an accounting department dinner and left Keegan home AGAIN by himself. He was getting into a nice routine, taking the dogs for a walk....
Friday, November 7th - We went out to a nice dinner with Anne & Tim at J. Alexanders - one of our favorite restaurants here in KC.
Saturday, November 8th - The day started with me getting a hair cut in the morning. Keegan dropped me off and took the dogs with to Home Depot. After getting my hair cut and hitting the UPS store, we stopped by the dog park in the bitter cold...... where right before we left, Daisy found a good smelling patch and decided to roll in... and ended up covered in dog poo - ICK. So we headed home to give her a bath, me gagging the entire car ride home.
Sunday, November 9th - I ended up working about 4-5 hours from home to get things all ready for payroll while Keegan made the "washer" game in the garage, got the garage all cleaned up, and mowed the grass. We took the dogs for a walk and hit the grocery store. And that was our exciting weekend.
Tuesday, November 11th - We had a birthday dinner for our friend Dave over at Dave & Benno's house. When we got home from work, we prepared the chopped salad. Then rushed over for homemade lasagna (yummm....) and I tried blueberry pie for the first time. Not too bad. Dave loves Elmo so Benno had an Elmo cake made for him! See pics below. Our friends Mike and Carrie and their kids were there for dinner too and little Miles was the entertainment of the night - SO ADORABLE!!
Thursday, November 13th (Happy 18th birthday Elizabeth) - I had a baby shower right after work and then had to do more work. Didn't get home until close to 8pm. - Busy week at work. Keegan made chicken pot pies. I think the first time we have ever made Pot Pies before.
Jaymi said it best with this photo - I hope you are as excited today as you were on this birthday! Friday, November 14th - Keegan got off work early to start getting things ready for the party we hosted at our house. We hit the grocery store after grabbing dinner and drinks at a new bar/restaurant, for us anyway. Gerts Grill. Keegan had the best Peanut Butter and Bacon sandwich!
