39 weeks.... it's getting close!

We had our 39 week check up yesterday! Everything is moving right along as it should, but still no Baby D :-) The Dr. discussed our options for inducing, etc. once we reach the 40 week mark so it's all becoming a little more real....... Within 2 weeks for sure we will get to meet our little one.

I am definitely feeling 39 weeks pregnant. Nothing unbearable, but getting quite uncomfortable. Trying out different places to sleep at night as the bed just doesn't last me all night long. Hopefully I don't go through the rest of this bottle of Tums before the baby arrives! I am ready whenever the baby decides it's ready. And I'm not sure this belly can get much bigger either :-) Dr. said right now we are looking at an 8 lb baby. We have been working on a few last minute projects in preparation for the baby. Keegan finished staining the deck. (Which I think he decided he will never do himself again!)
Keegan also finished staining and repairing a piece that my Dad made back for me in college. We decided to use it in the baby's room! Here is a before and after picture.

I finished up the mobile that we started a couple of months ago, finally! Not too bad for a homemade piece of wall-art. And we also finished up the number wall-art that Elizabeth helped us with too. The room is pretty much ready to go. I washed and folded the first load of baby laundry (the first load of 18 years to come....)

We have been trying to continue to give our "babies" the dogs as much attention as possible - taking them to the dog park and for walks, etc. And the other night we even stopped and got them "kid" cones from Dairy Queen :-) The progression of pictures is kind of funny - First, Cooper eating his cone as fast as he can.... then Daisy daintily licking her ice cream..... then Daisy getting distracted by a bunny rabbit in the distance ..... and then Cooper finishing her cone since she is no longer interested!

As soon as we have any baby news to share, we will post as soon as possible! Won't be long.
