RACE DAY

We have been waiting for this weekend for quite some time! And finally, it was here and gone. Jeff and Liz drove down from Cedar Falls, IA Friday afternoon. After a late night Friday @ P&L (Power & Light District), we finally got tailgating around 11:30-12:00, after a turn around trip because Keegan forgot to make a list and left his cable to the IPOD at the house (Of course that is a MUST for tailgating!). And Keegan won 2 extra tickets from work so our friend Dave, also a Deere worker, joined us for the event. We didn't watch as much of the race as we anticipated as the people watching, drinking and shopping seemed to be a little more entertaining.....

We left the race about 4:30 and made a pit stop at the house to let the dogs out, play some darts and air hockey out then headed to Hooters for some wings. Last stop for the night was a local bar/grill (Pickerings).

I think we were all feeling it Sunday (Keegan the worst!) :-) But it's back to reality Monday. Thanks Jeff, Liz, & Mack for making the trip down. And thanks Dave and Benno for making the day a great one as well. We had a BLAST and can't wait to do it again next year!
