Grandma, my Mom came to visit this Easter weekend. Chase and Lance enjoyed all of the extra love, attention, hugs and kisses! Chase was feeling a bit under the weather during her visit, so it was nice to have some extra help. On Thursday and into Friday, Chase had a stomach bug of some sort and began PROJECTILE puking!!!! We had our first experience with Pedialite.... and after a half day of that, he started to eat again. He still isn't 100% himself after the weekend but is definitely better.
Friday, Lance had an Easter egg hunt at school and was SOOO excited for the surprise visit from the Easter Bunny too!
On Saturday we experimented with coloring Easter Eggs with Kool-Aid. Thanks for the suggestion Pinterest. This was actually the first time we've colored eggs with Lance. We were in Florida for Easter last year and missed out on that fun!
This egg is STINKY!
Lance was very focused on watching Grandma paint an Easter Bunny on her egg!
Here are the boys Easter "toolboxes"! Thanks to Dad, Grandpa and Grandma and Mom for assembling and painting these. Lance was almost more excited to see what the Easter Bunny left for Chase! And the first thing he wanted to play with was Chase's farm toy.
Lance became VERY upset when we realized that Cooper had found one of the eggs the Easter Bunny hid and was eating it under the kitchen table. LOL! Lance also thought it was so cool that the Easter Bunny hid eggs outside too! But wasn't as excited as I thought he would be about opening them all up to see what was inside.... He just wanted to ear candy.
And ALL he wanted to do to ALL weekend long, after we mentioned it to him was see the Cows and Farm animals. So on Easter Sunday, after going to church for the first time with Mom and Grandma, we went to Deanna Rose Farm, one of his FAVORITE places to go! And to top it off, there was a backhoe! We have seen backhoes from far away, but this time got so close that he even got to climb in the bucket. He was in HEAVEN.
And neighbor Jerry asked if he could borrow Lance for a photo shoot on Saturday! More AMAZING captures by Jerry. I can't wait to get this printed on canvas when we have a home office!!!!
Of course we had to get a few Easter photos too! Although he wasn't feeling 100%, he still smiled for us!
