The start of SUMMER fun!

Lance is IN LOVE, and I mean IN LOVE with the pool - or "poo" as he calls it. Also wants to "pay in wawa" - Play in the water, translated. LOL. We are going to have to be VERY alert 110% while around the pool, because he is not afraid at all. He likes to jump in and likes Keegan to dip him under the water. We really need to get shopping for a good flotation device to strap around him.Keegan had a softball game last night so it was just Lance and me hanging out. Lance said he wanted to go the park (which is right by the pool) I did put a swim diaper on him, anticipating him seeing the pool and changing his mind, but didn't put my suit on, thinking we would sit in the baby pool. Which he actually listened to me and stayed in the baby pool area, BUT decided to "monkey see, monkey do" and saw a little girl swimming on her tummy in the water and decided to give it a try! So, Mom of course got a little wet, diving him out since he face planted while trying to swim like the little girl. Talk about hear racing... going to be a long summer at the pool - but FUN!

Last Saturday was very relaxed for us all as Lance was getting over being sick toward the end of the week. Double ear infection, bad cough, icky, snotty nose, congested - just a plain bad cold! Good thing he is into watching his "choo choo's" He likes to watch Toy Story and Keegan just bought him The Polar Express. We haven't quite gotten through all of it yet, but he has enjoyed what we have watched thus far.

The BIG boy room is fully painted. The carpet has been cleaned, night stand, headboard and bed are put together. I have started my "art projects" for the walls. Going to work with Grandma G to get some custom sheets made for the bed. So within a couple of weeks, we should have a completed BIG boy room for Lance. He has been helping here and there, so hopefully he will be excited to make it his own.

Neighbor Jerry has been asking about a photo shoot at a rose garden up North, so on Sunday we headed out in the morning to try and beat the heat! It was still quite warm, but as usual he captured some amazing photos of Lance and us as a family. Here are a few "sneak peeks" and the rest will be on his website as well.

Our home owners association requires that the exterior of our home be painted every 5 years, so this week, the painters came and freshened up the front and trim. We also had some shutters painted and put on and had the doors re-painted. We went with a slightly darker shade and are very happy with how it turned out. It couldn't have been any warmer out for the painters, that is for sure. Pictures to follow in the next blog.
