Peanut Butter, Trains & SANTA!

We have been talking about Santa for a couple of weeks now. And we have been to the mall and pointed out Santa to Lance too. So today Lance met Santa for the 1st time! He was excited watching the other kids but was VERY impatient. Keegan had to walk around with Lance while I held our place in line. I walked him up to Santa and he was very slow and uncertain. I suggested giving Santa a high five, because Lance LOVES to give everyone a high five, and that seemed to lighten the mood. (If you bought a package from this picture place, they let you take your own photos... so we bought the cheapest package we could and were able to capture some really precious moments with our own camera!) He climbed right up in Santa's lap. At first, no smiles... he just checked Santa out very closely. Santa gave Lance a ball to hold to try and make him a bit happier.
And we got a couple of good smiles :-)
Lance and Santa talked for a few seconds and Lance told Santa everything that was on his list! Keegan and I are curious to see what Santa brings on Christmas morning.
Then one more SUPER CUTE picture to end the Santa session.
While we were waiting for pictures, Lance spent his time watching this amazing train display. It was right by the Santa set and Lance couldn't have been happier.
Here he is saying "choo choo" as the train goes by.Lance has a new LOVE - a LOVE for peanut butter. We are so happy he isn't allergic. We used to give Lance half of an oatmeal raisin cookie if he ate all of his dinner. Now, Lance gets peanut butter if he eats all of his dinner... and sometimes has peanut butter FOR his dinner! Every time it is time for a snack or a meal, Lance opens the cupboard and points to the peanut butter and whines like CRAZY when we tell him that he can not have peanut butter for dinner. We have had to get very creative with ways to distract him and get him to eat other food.
Here he is as happy as can be with an almost empty peanut butter jar.
