Jake on his car ride to his new home for the first time!
After having Cooper for only 9 months, we decided that he needed a play mate... and that is when we rescued Jake from Homeless Hunters. After only a short year Jake started having seizures, first only once a month and then getting closer together. We got him on some medicine and for about a year the seizures were non-existent. But then while living in North Carolina they started back up and started getting worse and more frequent. Upon our arrival to KC, we were able to take Jake to a neurologist who said that Jake's epilepsy was curable with the right meds. Unfortunately, we just couldn't get the meds working fast enough and while we were on vacation and Jake was at the "pet resort" kennel he had a seizure that took the best of him. :-( Jake will forever have a special place in our hearts, as well as Cooper's. Thank you Jake for the happy times! You were such a GREAT, loving dog.
